Bio
Hi, nice to meet you! Here’s a little information about me. I wrote my first short story at the tender age of six, and went on to write dozens more, as well as poems, plays, and a novel during my junior high and high school years. Also a voracious reader, my love for books led me to a job at a bookstore in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Unfortunately, that job gave me more experience in bookkeeping than writing or publishing actual books, and I got sidetracked into a finance career.
For five years I worked for the US Air Force, managing the financial aspects of various defense programs and general operations. During this time I also earned a BS in Management, only to discover that I didn’t want a career in business. I quit my job in order to pursue a Master’s in Divinity full time. A few years later I graduated from Wartburg Theological Seminary and became an ordained pastor in the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA).
After serving congregations in South Dakota, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Iowa, I left active ministry to care for my family. Being a classic GenX latchkey kid, I didn’t know much about traditional homemaking, so I researched it online. This led me to discover the Quiverfull movement, and the idea for my debut novel was born.
I’m back living in Massachusetts with my husband, two teenagers, and three cats. Virtuous Women is my first published novel. My second, What Happened to Zinnia, is scheduled for release in early 2026.
